A gluten-free diet can help you fight celiac disease. This diet, however, is a bit discouraged as for healthy people.
ReplyDeletePeople who are diagnosed with celiac disease complain of weight gain. This is a common side effect of a gluten-free diet. To avoid weight gain, one should watch the serving sizes and increase fiber intake by eating more vegetables and fruits.
ReplyDeleteWhat about gluten in some medications? I've read that it is used in many meds as an excipient. I don't know anyone who has celiac disease, but they should check with their pharmacist to be sure that the medication is gluten-free. Medications may not work in people with undiagnosed celiac disease due to possible problems with malabsorption.
