The Old Spaghetti Factory is not just any ordinary Italian Food restaurant, it is a Canadian owned restaurant with 15 locations across Canada, including two right here in Edmonton serving up great food in a family dining experience.
The Old Spaghetti Factory prides itself on delicious dining by offering an inclusive menu of breads, soup/salad, coffee tea and ice cream with all entrees. Now while Old Spaghetti Factory has not been able to fully transfer that whole experience to gluten free, they still provide some good options for dining with them.
Although it has been a few years since we have dined out at The Old Spaghetti Factory, after some looking into Old Spaghetti Factory's online gluten free menu at the West Edmonton Mall location, they still have the same great options.
When we ate their last we learned that several of their sauce were actually not gluten free. This was quite disappointing as you would think that a good meat sauce should be okay. However, they kind of made up for that by having a gluten free spaghetti with IMPOSSIBLE Meatballs. Which was a great option. They also currently list their marinara, mushroom alfredo, mizithra cheese, linguine with clams, seafood alfredo, seafood marinara and pesto penne as gluten free. Just note that although different types of pasta are listed, most restaurants usually only carry one type of gluten free pasta. So even though it says spaghetti with Impossible meatballs, you will probably get a penne type gluten free pasta.
Next step for Old Spaghetti Factory will be to top off that dining experience and make sure a gluten free bread, and dessert are available, along with maybe one more salad choice and a soup.
I simply can't find the ingredient lists for each of Old Spaghetti Factory's food items ANYWHERE. Are they hiding the ingredients? We ate there 3 nights ago and I have been sick as a dog since. I had just a little bit of their spumoni ice cream. That is the one and only dish I finally managed to find ingredients for. It is junk!! One of the ingredients, polysorbate 80, is know for causing gut distress and stomach pain and my gut has been hurting since eating there. Do you know where to find out their ingredients??
