Our Latest Gluten-Free Adventure at The Canadian Brewhouse in Edmonton!

Edmonton's food scene just keeps getting better, with so many delicious choices for everyone, even those of us eating gluten-free. For anyone navigating a gluten-free lifestyle, finding great spots that really get it and make sure your meal is safe and tasty is like hitting the jackpot. The Canadian Brewhouse has consistently shown they truly care about their gluten-free guests, and our latest visit just proved it again.

We've popped into Canadian Brewhouse many times over the years, from the Spruce Grove location where we first learned about their dedicated fryers and even tried their gluten-free beer-battered fish and perogy pizzas. It's really neat how they try to keep things consistent across their different restaurants, which is a big comfort. Of course, it's always a good idea to chat with your server about how things are made, just to be sure, but their general care for gluten-free diners has always impressed us.

Our most recent trip was to The Canadian Brewhouse on Winterburn Road in Edmonton, and honestly, the food and service were, as always, fantastic! The team there is always so kind, and the meals are just plain delicious and plentiful.

What's truly wonderful for anyone eating gluten-free is how much they focus on making your meal a safer experience. They have dedicated fryers for gluten-free items, which is a HUGE plus for enjoying things like fries without worry. They also take allergies very seriously; the staff always ask if your order is for an allergy and are quick to check with the kitchen if they're not 100% sure about an ingredient. While no shared kitchen can ever guarantee 100% celiac safety due to the risk of cross-contamination, Canadian Brewhouse goes above and beyond with their protocols to make it a very gluten-friendly place, giving us confidence when we dine out.

During our visit, we enjoyed a few yummy gluten-free choices. We ordered the flatbread gluten-free, and oh my goodness, it was absolutely delicious! It was cheesy and flavorful, a perfect starter.

We also had a refreshing gluten-free Caesar salad, which was crisp and satisfying.

And Amanda ordered the special blackened chicken rice bowl made gluten-free, and she truly loved it – so flavourful and filling.

The Canadian Brewhouse continues to be a real gem for gluten-free dining right here in Edmonton. With their friendly crew, yummy food, and genuine effort to create safer meal options like those dedicated fryers, it's definitely a spot we'll keep coming back to and recommending to our gluten-free family and friends.
