Udi's Gluten Free White Bread and Gluten Free Bagels |
We have since tried out Udi's white bread, and although Amanda still prefers Kinnikinnick's Flax Seed bread for sandwich's, the Udi's bread works out great for deli sandwich's and french toast. Udi's is popping up in more stores across Edmonton, including Save-on-Foods (or was it Safeway?) which is carrying it unfrozen in the bakery.
I don't think many people will be disappointed with gluten free products from Udi's, so its not surprised that more and more places are beginning to carry Udi's.
You can follow Udi's on Facebook and Twitter.
What Udi's products have you tried out?
We have tried the bread, bagels and muffins and they are awesome!!! My favorite are the double chocolate muffins. They are very moist and are more like cake then muffins.
ReplyDeleteIt was most likely Save-On (rather than safeway) as the save-on here in prince george, bc carries udi's unfrozen in the bakery as well!
ReplyDeleteA word of advice on the bagels (as wonderful as they are) DO let them thaw out first (if they're frozen) before trying to "cut" in half to toast. Disaster will ensue otherwise...
I would have to think that bagels are probably one of the best breakfast foods out there. Most often though they're either a detriment to our health because of the gluten and other simple refined flours to the extent that I leave them on the shelf. Now though, if I can find Udi's products here in Ontario I'm going to give them a try.
ReplyDeleteKinnikinick bagels have over 50 grams of carbohydrate in one crumbly tasteless bagel. Not happy with them by any stretch of judgement.
