What you didn't know about spring rolls made in Saskatchewan

We have been attending the CRAFT Beer Market, Gluten Free Brewmaster for several years.  Kerry from Care Bakery has been developing the menu for the event for at least the past two years.

This year she had Saskatchewan spring rolls on the menu.

What the heck is a Saskatchewan spring roll?  Well, she told us that in Saskatchewan, restaurants make their spring rolls with rice paper.  All the same fillings.  So they are all naturally gluten free.

Let's jump over to Edmonton now at Nha Trang Restaurant across the street from the Royal Alexandra Hospital.  Amanda decided to grab lunch from their one afternoon, hoping to be able to have a vermicelli bowl.  Well she got that and more.

After speaking with one of the people at the counter, they pointed out that most of the items on the menu are gluten free.  When it was pointed out that the spring rolls were gluten free she naturally questioned it.

They said they make their spring rolls with rice paper.  Which makes me like to believe they are bringing a little bit of gf Saskatchewan to Edmonton!

Amanda said it tasted great, and she was so happy that she was able to order a vermicelli bowl with the spring rolls because every other time she has to omit it in the order but still pay the same price.

You can find Nha Trang on skip the dishes, so you don't have trek across the city if you are not nearby.
