Namaste Gluten Free Product Review

Abisaac often doesn't understand my out of nowhere desire to bake, especially since I usually (ok only occasionally) only want a piece. As this happens more often than I'd like to admit, I like to keep at least one or two gluten free prepared baking mixes around so that when the mood strikes I can simply grab one of the packages and go.

This time I reached for the Namaste Gluten Free Blondie mix. I had never tried this product before and to be honest, the fact that the package said "makes two 8 x 8 pans" kinda seemed like too much for me. Who needs to have two pans or a full 9 x 13" pan of blondies around? Doesn't that just temp you to eat more than you actually needed to eat? I digress.

This particular day was grey and icky outside and I found myself in the mood to bake and try something new. The Namaste Blondie mix was super easy. All you have to do is add 3 eggs, 1/2 cup of water and 3/4 cup of oil mix and pour into two 8 x 8" pans and bake. I of course could not simply leave the blondies as they were originally designed and I felt I needed to jazz them up a little bit. I added in a few handfuls of semi-sweet chocolate chips and another few handfuls of broken macadamia nuts just to add some crunch.

As you would expect, these desserts were a hit and super tasty. Of course this is likely why the folks at Namaste Gluten Free foods make the package large enough to create two pans of dessert instead of simply one. You'll need the extras for yourself or for another time for sure.
