Did you attend the 2010 Ride-Walk-Run for Celiac's in Edmonton?

Preparation at the finish line
This past Sunday was the Ride-Walk-Run for Celiac's at the Edmonton Legislature Grounds downtown hosted by the Edmonton Chapter of the Canadian Celiac Association.  The event took place to raise money and awareness for Celiac Disease.  The Canadian Celiac Association reports that 1 in every 133 people in Canada is affected by Celiac Disease.  Celiac Disease is a medical condition whereby the body cannot process gluten, a wheat protein that damages the lower intestine and prevents the body for absorbing nutrients.
Guests are treated to gluten

Participants had the choice to Ride, Walk or Run a 1.5k, 5k or 10k route in and around the grounds.  Participants were treated with great gluten free products from Kinnikinnick, Glutino, Pamela's Products, RiceWorks and more!

A snack area was setup where guests and participants could sample all sorts of products like Oogies Gouda Popcorn, Pamela's Cookies, Hawkins Cheesies, and a giant Kinnikinnick Cake!  Just to name a few.
