Gluten Free French Toast for Breakfast!

Who said you can't make a good ole home style gluten free breakfast?  This French Toast recipe uses a gluten free challah recipe already shared at Gluten Free Edmonton, and it tastes great!

How to make this easy gluten free breakfast idea:

What you need:
  1. Challah bread (click for recipe, or use frozen leftovers)
  2. 1 tsp Vanilla
  3. 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  4. 3-4 eggs
  5. 1 tbsp margarine
If you've made French Toast before, you know what to do from here, just be cautious about how long or how much you soak the gluten free bread in the eggs.  This bread does absorb the egg much faster and you may end up needing an extra egg.

For those that want extra direction, you call follow these steps:
  1. Beat eggs in dish big enough to place one piece of bread into
  2. Add cinnamon, vanilla to egg and mix
  3. Heat margarine in frying pan
  4. Dip challah in egg mix (both sides), let excess egg drip off.
  5. Place in frying pan and fry both sides until golden brown or all egg is cooked.
Note: Be sure to only soak as many pieces of challah as you can fit in the pan at a time.  The bread will break apart if it has to sit with the egg.

Serve with syrup, favourite topics and some fruit.
